Rachel is originally from New Orleans, Louisiana. After graduating from Isidore Newman High School, she went on to attend the Fashion Institute of Technology where she worked towards an Associate of Fine Art degree from 1998 to 2000. She then attended New York University where she completed her Bachelors of Science degree in 2002. In 2004, Rachel had her MA thesis show and graduated with a Masters of Art degree from NYU.

Rachel now has a working studio at Photo Coop in Soho. Aside from her interest in fine art painting and ceramics, Rachel also loves decorating, furniture painting & restoration, mosaicing mirrors & furniture, faux finishing, and event decorating. She now resides in Tribeca.
